How is Grace Haven funded?
Grace Haven is one of adult day programs that is funded partially (70%) by the Ministry of Health & Long Term Care while the remainder is achieved through fundraising and community donations.
Grace Haven has held the “Festival of Trees” for several years around the Christmas season. The “Summer Chair Festival” is another fundraiser where local artists paint an Adirondack chairs for a raffle. We have also held garage sales, both big and small.
Grace Haven has applied to various foundations, companies and clubs both locally and across Canada for grants, funding or specific purchases.
We value our supporters and are a registered charity and will acknowledge donations with at tax receipt.
We are hoping that through this web site we will become known to more potential donors, volunteers, and community members who have a need to be filled.
Grace Haven relies on support from people like YOU!
Quality programs don’t come free. Donations are gratefully accepted for providing staff with opportunities to receive on-going training, to purchase craft and art supplies, and to hire specialists for special events including foot care, massage, music therapists, and entertainers. Donations of baked goods are also accepted for our coffee and relax time.
Grace Haven keeps a “Wish List” of larger items that the centre needs. Please contact us for more information about our wish list.
