Volunteering:
Volunteers are a critical resource in helping us provide quality programs.

Grace Haven always welcomes new volunteers for one time, once a week, once a month, once a year, or on a regular basis.

Are you a potential volunteer?
If you can do….you are!
…if you can drive a car, sing a song, play an instrument, tell a joke, use a camera, play cards, play games, teach a skill, fix something, build something, talk, listen, cook, bake, sew, sand, paint, patch, etc. … you are a potential volunteer!
You can help behind the scenes or work frontline.

Youth opportunities:
Our clients always enjoy talking with and being around young people. If you are a student who needs a work experience site or Co-op hours then Grace Haven could be the best place you could ever be to gain valuable experience. If you just finished a great book report, an awesome science project, learned a new dance or song, completed something you are especially proud of, come and share it with the seniors. It is amazing how a few minutes can make a difference in someone’s day.

Spend some time during school break…bring your guitar or just bring yourself.

Life History Recorder:
Spend as little as one hour once a week reminiscing and recording interesting life stories with our seniors. If you are interested in history and love to hear unique stories, this is a volunteer position for you.

Parents and Tots:
ildren get lots of love at Grace Haven. If you are looking for a way to bring experiences with older people into your child’s life, you have found it. We welcome you and your infant or toddlers. You can even make a stop during your morning stroll. (Note: we request that you be present to supervise your child at all times.)
